I kinda have a thing for cookies. I used to hate cookies growing up because they were always crisp and crunchy and I’m not a crispy crunchy kinda gal.

It wasn’t until I was starting to bake on my own that I really fell in love with making all the cookies that I could. It became a passion.

Some of my favorite cookies that I have on the site include Easy Nutella Cookies, Cookies and Cream Cookies and Funfetti Gooey Butter Cookies!

If you want a fun new cookie then you have to try these Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies, seriously!

I know that there are a lot of people going crazy these days with their Air Fryer’s so I figured why not come up with a cookie recipe that is done in minutes!

This is literally the perfect recipe for the kiddos if they are wanting a quick treat that doesn’t take too much time and are soft and chewy in the center!

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  • With minimal pantry staple ingredients this recipe is quick and easy to whip up.
  • They make smaller cookies, which means smaller portions.
  • They bake up in the air fryer in 5 minutes.

There are so many things that you cane make with the air fryer it’s not even funny. We’ve had ours for a while now and desserts are some of our favorite things.

Some of our favorite air fryer desserts include Cherry Turnovers, Air Fryer Oreos and Apple Crisp!

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER CHOCOLATE CHIIP COOKIES, STEP BY STEP:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until smooth and creamy.  Add the flour mixture, mixing just until combined.
  3.  Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Preheat your air fryer by setting it to 350 and allowing it to warm while you form your cookie dough balls.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop, form Tablespoon sized dough balls.
  6. When the air fryer is preheated, line the basket with a layer of parchment paper and place dough balls evenly apart.
  7. Press down lightly in the dough to gently flatten.  Cook at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until the tops start to turn golden brown.

HOW DO I KNOW MY COOKIES ARE DONE?

Air fryer cookies bake differently than they do in the oven. Rather than looking at the bottom of the cookie, look at the top.

The cookie should begin to evenly brown on every side when it is done cooking. Be advised that every air fryer is different and there could be a variation in cooking times.

HOW TO STORE:

There really isn’t anything better than a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the air fryer, but if you do have extra you can store them for up to 4 days in an airtight container.

Alternatively, if you make the dough in bulk, you can store the dough balls in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to a month. Simply thaw out the dough before adding it to the air fryer.

These Air Fryer Cookies are seriously one of the most simple cookies I have ever whipped up! Yes they are smaller, but I love mini cookies anyways.

You can make them larger but you would put less in the air fryer and they may need to cook a few minutes more to be done all the way.

TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • Make sure you preheat your air fryer before adding the cookie dough.
  • You can add a lot of different mix ins to these cookies such as nuts, candies, sprinkles, etc.
  • You can freeze the dough balls if you are making in bulk, see my notes above on that.
  • This makes about 15 smaller cookies, you can absolutely double the recipe to make more.
  • You can use regular of mini chocolate chips, whatever your preference and chocolatiness is.
