Stacked blondies with sprinkles and white chocolate chips

Blondies, bars and brownies are some of my favorite things in the world besides cake. I think cake will always hold the top spot, but I mean these are Cake Batter Blondies.

So is there really much difference between these blondies and cake? I mean they are like one and the same right? No they’re not obviously it’s a bar that just happens to taste like cake.

But trust me, they are so good. You will be crawling back for more, and the kids absolutely love them. They are colorful, moist, chewy and crunchy all in one. There is no reason not to love them.

    WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

    • Minimal ingredients have this whipping up fast.
    • They are quick on time.
    • You can use various cake mixes to alternate the flavors.

This Cake Batter Blondie Recipe is just an all-around EASY dessert that you can whip up and love from the very first bite.

So do you want to get into how to make this easy recipe? Like I can show you how super simple it is to whip these up, there really is no extreme measures and it’s all made in one bowl!

HOW TO MAKE CAKE BATTER BLONDIES, STEP BY STEP:

    1. In a large bowl add your cake mix and 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
    2. Stir together sprinkles into cake mix until they are combined (you can also wait til the end to add the sprinkles).
    3. Add in your egg, heavy cream and oil and mix until combined then add your white chocolate chips and again mix until combined.
    4. Spread into a greased 9″x13″ or 9″x9″ baking dish (for thicker blondies) and bake at 350 degrees F  and bake for about 22-25 minutes until browned and toothpick in center comes out clean.

See how easy these are? They are literally fool-proof, those are the recipes that we love around our household. We don’t always think things need to be homemade to be good.

They can be from a box and doctored up and still be just as good as a “homemade blondie recipe” but you just cut your time down and you get the same results.

Plus I love that there are so many different uses for boxed cake mix that you can use, they really make for some versatile recipes that for sure.

    HOW TO STORE BLONDIES:

These M&M Blondies are safe to store at room temperature for about 3 days in an airtight container such a ziptop bag or Tupperware container.

They will also stay good for about 1 week or a little longer if stored the same way in the refrigerators.

Yes you can freeze these. Bake according to directions and let cool completely, cut into bars and we like to layer ours on top of one another in container with parchment paper, these should freeze for up to 3 months.

Just you can remove as many as you like and defrost at room temperature or slightly heat up in microwave before serving.

We like to make double batches of blondies at times, they are one of those regular recipes that we like to have on hand so when we can just whip one out of the freezer and defrost for a sweet treat, we do it.

As much as I love these Cake Batter Blondies, I love cake batter flavored desserts in any form and some include Funfetti Cake Batter Blondie, Birthday Sugar Cookies and this Funfetti Cake Batter Ice Cream.

    Baked Blondies in baking dish

One of my secrets to make my Blondies look a little prettier is to sprinkle some more chocolate chips and sprinkles on the top of the spread batter in pan before baking.

That way you can see all the colors and they don’t get all the way baked into the Blondies themselves, we also do this with our cookies, but press them in after the come out of the oven.

    TIPS AND TRICKS:

    • You can use various mix-ins, if you want to switch up the flavor of these blondies.
    • You can easily double or triple this batter recipe to feed more people.
    • You can use different cake mixes for different flavors of blondies.
    • Remove from oven when center is just set, these will continue to cook slightly after removing from oven.
    • You can freeze these bars, check my notes above on how you can do that.
