I love biscuits, I love rolls, I love all things sweet when it comes to breakfast for brunch! These Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Knots are one of my favorite easy recipes to make.

They are almost effortless to whip up and the whole family loves them. We have been making these for years and they are still always requested for breakfast.

There is nothing special or hard about them, using canned biscuits makes it super easy to come together. Then add some butter and cinnamon sugar and your good.

Oh but it doesn’t stop there, you can’t have these Biscuit Knots without having a delicious dipping sauce. You would have cinnamon rolls without a glaze would you?

I didn’t think so, we love dipping these Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Knots in this simple powdered sugar glaze which just amps up the flavor of this delicious treat.

Some of my other favorite breakfast recipes we have on our site include Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls, Sour Cream Coffee Cake and Chocolate Donuts!

    • If you want to flavor your glaze with other extracts your can do that as well.

HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON SUGAR BISCUIT KNOTS, STEP BY STEP:

    1. Cut the biscuits in half and using your hands, roll it into a long rope shape, 6-8 inches long. Tie into a knot and place on the sheet tray, continue with the rest of the biscuits. Place them about 2 inches apart, you may need two sheet trays.
    2. Bake for at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes or until golden brown on top.
    3. While the biscuits are baking,in a small bowl add the cinnamon and sugar and stir this mixture until thoroughly combined.
    4. Next, make the glaze by adding the powdered sugar, vanilla, 2 tablespoons of the melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of the milk to a small bowl. Whisk until combined. Add more milk until you get the desired consistency you want.
    5. Remove biscuits from the oven and Immediately brush the biscuits, one at a time, with the remaining melted butter when they are done baking.
    6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar immediately after brushing with the butter, this will help the sugar mixture to stick to the biscuits. Repeat with the remaining biscuits. Serve with the glaze for dipping or you can drizzle it right on top if you prefer.

There is so much you can do with refrigerated canned biscuits other than these delicious Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Knots, we always try to keep a few cans on hand!

I love simple recipes and don’t always believe that things have to be homemade, you can always use canned to help out a recipe, or cake mix, or brownie mix.

There is no shame in using anything and there is no shame in something not being fully homemade. Although I love making homemade, I love quick and easy too!

Just look at that cinnamon and sugar coating these Biscuit Knots, are you drooling yet? I am! We make these every few weeks, my whole family loves them.

They are one recipe that the kids love to help on, they love too be able to tie the biscuits into knots. At first it may seem hard but once you get it down it’s a breeze!

    HOW TO STORE:

This recipe can be stored in an airtight container for ziptop bag on the countertop at room temperature for 2-3 days.

You can also freeze these! You can decide if you want to freeze with or without the cinnamon sugar or not, but to freeze just let cool completely and place in a freezer bag.

Store in the freezer for up to 2 months. To eat remove from freezer and allow to come to room temperature and then heat up in the microwave for a few seconds to warm, this will be the time too brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if you didn’t freeze with it on.
