Strawberry Overnight Oats are incredibly easy to make, full of so much flavor, and will keep you full all morning long. These are our go-to breakfast for spring and summer!

Strawberry Overnight Oats in jar surrounded by strawberries topped with strawberries and honey.

I love when breakfast is already ready in the morning or at least the recipe is super simple to whip up on those days where I’m still not quite ready to get out of bed.

These Strawberry Overnight Oats are perfect for busy mornings or those mornings where you’re out the door in the blink of an eye. Grab a container and hit the road.

Plus, these keep you full all morning long, so I don’t have to worry about bringing snacks or eating unhealthy just because you haven’t eaten breakfast or had a something not as substantial.

I think one of my favorite things is that both the kids and adults in my house love this breakfast, which we all know is a winner. When I can make recipes that everyone loves, then you know it must be good.

We’ve been making these Strawberry Overnight Oats for a while and we can’t seem to get enough of them. Tasty, easy and ready to go when you wake up and no bake, how can you get any better than that.

Plus the strawberry flavor from both the oats and preserves really give this breakfast recipe just that perfect balance of flavor that you cannot live without, at least I can’t.

Some of our other favorite breakfast recipes we have on our site include: Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes, Instant Pot Yogurt and Strawberry Scones.

    WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

    • Great for meal prep with minimal and easily available ingredients.
    • Easy to customize to your tastes.
    • You can double or triple this recipe.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE AT BOTTOM)

    Sliced strawberries
    Whole milk
    Honey
    Vanilla extract
    Old fashioned oats
    Chia seeds
    Strawberry preserves

Ingredients needed to make Strawberry Overnight Oats.

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY OVERNIGHT OATS, STEP BY STEP:

    1. In a blender or tall glass with an immersion blender add the sliced strawberries, honey, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth with no lumps of strawberry.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, add the oats and chia seeds.
    3. Pour the strawberry milk mixture into the mixing bowl and stir to combine. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 4 hours up to overnight, until the oats are nice and soft.
    4. Add 1/4 of the mixture to the bottom of the 2 glasses, jars, or bowls.
    5. Add 2 Tablespoons of strawberry preserves on top.
    6. Then add the remaining oats on top of each serving.
    7. Serve the layered oats with more fresh strawberries on top and a drizzle of honey if desired.

Step by step photos on how to make Strawberry Overnight OatsARE OVERNIGHT OATS HEALTHY?

Oats themselves are a great source of fiber. If you soak them overnight, they become an even better source of easier-to-digest fiber and that will help you feel fuller longer.

This is also why oats have become so popular for those who are looking to lose weight and eat less or have smaller portion sizes and still feel full.

I’m not saying that all oats are healthy, these can be better than some options out there but they do contain some ingredients that will give extra calories and carbs.

HOW ELSE CAN I PREPARE THESE?

For presentation purposes and to give the serving glass a layered look, I like to soak the oats in the big bowl first. Then I’ll add them to the serving bowls.

This way you will get the pretty layering look. If you are not worried about having a pretty presentation, you can just mix the oats and chia seeds with the strawberries and milk then immediately layer them in the glasses with the preserves.

Cover the individual serving glasses and let them soak that way in the refrigerator. Alternatively, you can also mix the preserves in with all the other ingredients so it is evenly distributed throughout the oats.

However, I love the little preserve surprise right in the center of the container, yum! That’s my personal preference, but find what is easiest for you

    CAN YOU EAT THESE HOT?

Yes, you can. However, the main goal of overnight oats is to be an easy breakfast that is ready to go in the morning- just a grab and go. So, they’re typically served cold, similar to muesli.

If you want them warm, by all means, warm them up in the microwave in 30-second intervals until they’re your desired temperature.

    HOW TO STORE:

Since you make these in the serving bowl or glass, you can store them right in the container in the refrigerator where they will keep for up to 5 days, which also makes it perfect for meal prepping.

I do NOT recommend freezing this recipe.

    TIPS AND TRICKS:

    • The oats will continue to soften the longer they sit. If you like softer oats, let them soak overnight. If you like harder oats, only let them sit in the fridge for the minimum 4 hours.
    • I love to prepare a big batch, double or even triple the recipe, and have them sitting in the refrigerator so you can just grab it in the morning, and boom, breakfast is done!
    • This is a terrific recipe to use as a base to go off of to make your other favorite flavors. Replace the ½ cup of strawberries in the milk with ½ cup of whatever your favorite chosen fruit is and blend it just the same. The same thing goes with choosing which preserves you want to use. Another favorite option of mine to use is cherry preserves.
    • Make sure that you are using old-fashioned oats for these, other oats will not work!

These Strawberry Overnight Oats are so delicious and easy! You most likely already have the pantry staple ingredients in the cabinet. So, grab them and whip these bad boys up so breakfast is already done for tomorrow. You can thank me later!
