If you want an easy, chewy and moist brownie then you need to whip up The Best Easy Brownies! Easy pantry ingredients make these simple to whip up.

Three stacked brownies

If I had to say I love one thing most in this world it would be brownies. I mean I love cake, but give me a good brownie, I’m sold. Especially when they are these Easy Brownies.

Now I don’t like to toot my own horn, but these are absolutely delicious. I think one of the best brownies we have ever whipped up, and trust me I’ve made a lot in my day.

They are simple, easy and delicious, just the way I like to bake. And they really don’t last hardly a day in this house. Once the family smells them, it’s over.

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  • Pantry staple ingredients help this recipe come together fast.
  • These can be doubled to serve more people.
  • They are the perfect amount of fudge/cake texture that they are absolutely amazing.

I really cant rave enough about these Easy Brownies. They are literally our favorite. I can’t stop making them, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing…but it can be.

I’m a sweetsaholic and these really satisfy my sweet tooth craving at any time of the day. They are just absolutely perfect to me, I would eat a whole pan if I could.

But let’s just say for the sake of my health and sanity that that would never happen because I would be sugar high, and it would all go to my hips so let’s just say no on that one.

HOW TO MAKE EASY BROWNIES, STEP BY STEP:

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with the butter and vegetable oil, constantly stirring until the butter and chips are completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Using a large bowl, or stand mixer, combine the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until mixture is light and creamy. Slowly pour in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture a little at a time as you continue to mix. Blend until mixed well. Slowly add in the flour and cocoa powder, until the batter is well mixed. It will be a thick cake- like batter.
  3. Spread evenly into a lightly oiled 13×9 cake pan. (I sprayed with cooking spray) Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until brownies are done.
  4. Remove from the oven and let brownies cool in the pan, then cut. Brownies can be frosted before cutting or served with ice cream.

How simple are these brownies? I’m a huge believe in melting chocolate chips when it comes to brownies, there is something about the texture and flavor that I love.

They produce a flaky crust and a chewy delicious center that melts in your mouth. Who can resist that? I know that I can’t, that’s why these have become our go-to recipe.

WHAT MAKES A BROWNIE MORE FUDGY?

It is the fat to flour ratio that makes a brownie more fudge like. If you want more fudge you add more chocolate and butter/oil instead of more flour where it would be more cake like.

Also cake like brownies rely on a leavening agent such as baking powder, which this recipe does not contain, so it makes they more gooey.

The cooking time also is a role player when it comes to consistency, if you want a chewier brownie then you can bake for less time where it almost looks like the center is a little under done.

They will continue to cook for a while when removed from the oven, but this is a way to make the brownies more fudgy and chewy as well.

HOW TO STORE:

Brownies are best eaten within 1-2 days if stored at room temperature when cut and covered in an airtight container such as a pan with lid, Tupperware container or ziptop container.

They will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days stored this way as well.

These Easy Brownies can also be frozen, we like to individually wrap our cut brownies then place them in a freezer bag, they should last frozen for about 3-4 months.

To reheat just leave on counter to thaw out or you can place them on a microwave safe plate and defrost to reheat.

We sometimes make a double batch of these brownies and place the second batch in the freezer so we always have some on hand, and it always helps when they are individually wrapped.

It makes it easier to just grab one at a time and eat it that way opposed to freezing in a pan itself or uncut.

  • You can add other things to these brownies such as nuts, chocolate chips, candies, etc. This is a basic base brownie recipe.
  • You can frost these with your favorite frosting or just serve plain or with ice cream like we do.
